Outdoor exhibition and indoor exhibition for museums
FRESHWATER
- a world of life
Currently, we can offer two different exhibitions about freshwater in Sweden,
one outdoor exhibition and one indoor exhibition.
Both exhibitions are a breathtaking journey above and below the water’s surface. Glaciers, rivers, streams, brooks, wetlands, lakes, small ponds, and temporary waters. The exhibition is based on both photographed and filmed material of species and environments from northern to southern Sweden. It also illustrates the threats facing our aquatic environments, but above all, the positive efforts being made to restore and recreate them.
The exhibitions aim to spark fascination for the incredible water environments that exist in our own country. It also hopes to inspire curiosity, a desire to learn more, to go out and explore - and maybe even work with aquatic environments in the future.
We want to increase understanding and awareness of how vital untouched, living, and healthy waters are—for both humans and animals.
The outdoor exhibition about fresh water - VALUABLE WATERS - includes 20 high quality prints (150x100 cm). Every print has informative text as well as interactive content in the form of sound or video. An education pack for schools and teachers is also included. So far, the outdoor exhibition has been to Umeå, Malmö, Lidköping, Nyköping, Stockholm and Kalmar reaching more then 200 000 people. And the response has been overwhelming.
The indoor exhibition – FRESH WATER - A WORLD OF LIFE - is produced together with Regionmuseet in Kristianstad and has been displayed at 10 different museums in Kristianstad, Ystad, Sundsvall, Gävle, Göteborg, Vallentuna, Gotland, Höör, Jönköping. It contains film, photography, interactive content, and an education pack for schools. It covers 150 - 200 square metres.
